i was looking into Dignitas and searching information on their service Because and they allow the assisted suicide in cases of, and i quote, “1. a disease which will lead to death (terminal illness), and/or 2. an unendurable incapacitating disability, and/or 3. unbearable and uncontrollable pain” and please can anyone tell me how depression, anxiety, borderline disorder and other kinds of mental diseases which are as disabling as a physical illness can’t be allowed to their service. it makes me uneasy that an institution (teorically) concerned with death with dignity and freedom of choice look as closed minded as other people when it comes to consider mental diseases as real and valid as they are.
